Reason 1 waiting until you are very hungry before you eat
It’s only natural that we only eat when we are really hungry, but this is one of the reasons we fail to lose weight, this is because our body thinks we are starving, so we will eat too fast, we will crave foods that are bad for us, and we will eat too much.
Because of this our metabolism slows down and we have problems with our digestive system, and then we just don’t know how to stay motivated.
The solution is, eating more often, you should eat your meals about two or three hours apart, that way your metabolism will be boosted, and you won’t crave for food, and you will also feel much better for it.

Reason 2 eating too many calories in one go
It’s important to keep your metabolic rate up; if you take in too many calories all at once it will affect the speed of your metabolism.
So just eat enough to satisfy your hunger.
If you eat a lot of calories in one go, your body does not have the time to process the food, and it is stored as body fat!
The problem is resolved by eating little and often.
One of the best bits of advice I can give you is simply drinking more water, just this tip alone helps people who are having trouble losing weight,this is good for weight loss and general health.
Of course you need to know how much or too little to drink this is not difficult, if you wait until you are thirsty then it will be too little, and if you feel uncomfortable or over bloated then this too much remember it can be harmful if you drink too much water.

By keeping yourself hydrated your metabolism works faster, and you will have more energy,
Reason 4 consuming too many diet drinks and diet foods.
Some diet food and drink lack nutrients so try to eat healthily and go steady with these types of weight loss products.
I would stay away from diet sodas; I don’t like some of the chemicals that they have in them, especially ones with aspartame in them.
Reason 5 not eating breakfast.
I can’t stress enough how important it is when you’re having trouble losing weight, to have a good breakfast, not having breakfast will make you want to eat too much later in the day, and this will affect your metabolism, some people lose weight by going on a the big breakfast diet, eating carbs that are bad for you will make you crave for them later in the day, too small a breakfast will mean you will have hunger pangs by mid day.
My advice for breakfast is food with plenty of protein I suggest Eggs, dairy products, protein shakes, nuts, and oats.
Reason 6 losing you’re motivation.
At the start of a diet it’s easy to get motivated but as time goes on it gets harder, this is where most people fail.
So to keep motivated when you’re having trouble losing weight, I suggest that you don’t weigh yourself too often, be sure you’re happy with the diet you choose, and stick to the diet remember if you choose a diet that suits you it will be much easier.
Oh and another reason you may not of thought of is stress, high levels of cortisol can stop you losing weight try some relaxation techniques like meditation.
